With a camera you can capture the moment, Daniele Derenzi, is passionate about that. Born and raised in Pacifica, CA, she was an artist from an early age, always creating, daydreaming and writing. She discovered her eye for photography while attending Terra Nova High School. It was then she received her Canon EMF SLR, the same camera she uses today. Starting with the most available subject, Linda Mar State Beach, she dove in to her first roll of film. Daniele went to Skyline Community College immediately after graduation. It was at Skyline where she first knew this was what she was meant to do; taking pictures and capturing moments. With the mentoring of some amazing teachers, she enhanced her eye and grew into a stronger photographer. After the first few semesters, Daniele became the lab assistant in the Photo Department and she would remain the lab assistant until graduating Skyline with honors. It was a great privilege to be chosen as the lab assistant, Daniele really enjoyed her time spent there. Also, at Skyline she studied art and writing; tools that to this day help her express herself.
After graduation, Daniele went into retail, starting in Visual/Display and then on to management. Always the photographer, she left her retail job in 2003 to start her own business. It began as a part time position with a fellow artist in San Francisco and grew into Daniele Derenzi Photography; a small home-based business that specializes in photography and greeting cards. Then in 2004, she expanded her business to include; A Little Sparkle, personalized ornaments and hand-painted, freehand designed glass ornaments.
She has been a member of the Photographic Society of America since 2004. Daniele Derenzi Photography, as well as A Little Sparkle, wants to enhance your life by simply capturing a moment.
